Pleasant Hill also boasts two theatres, a newer Century Theatre and the long established "dome theatre." Currently the city still undergoes transition as a new Kohl's comes to town to rejuvenate an old strip mall, and continuing improvements makes Pleasant Hill THE destination of shoppers, employers and savvy homebuyers. Pleasant Hill offers a wonderful mix of older ranch styled and two story homes, to newer attached and detached communities. Golf courses, and country club area offer even more housing choices. Whereas Pleasant Hill used to be a place along I-680 with no reason to stop, it is now vibrant and ustling with gourmet dining, a bonafide downtown and growth that is sure to please future generations.
